Looking for a Bongo!

I run a mobile disco and I am looking for a new vehicle that will do the following for me:

1) Give me good and reliable day to day wheels

2) Comfortably fit my kit into

3) Have room for some kind of sleeping arrangement because I travel long distances with my work and I am sick of stretching across the passenger seat to get some kip!

4) I would also like to have a funky little camper to use on random weekends off!

I have spent many hours trawling for suitable vehicles and the Bongo seems to be exactly what I am after. I have about 8k to 10k to spend and looking to sort something fairly quickly. I live in Somerset but don't mind travelling to get the right vehicle.

Are you able to help or advise?

I do believe there have been several people in your situation who have come down the Bongo line!
Budget sounds adequate as well.
Several companies down your way I do believe as well.
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome. Not sure who's selling Bongos down your way but names that I seem to have in my head (probably because they were worth keeping there) are Topsham Cars, Discount Trucks, Bellhill Motors, Allans. Not all may stock Bongos these days and none are right on top of you, but Bongos are specialist vehicles so I'd put evidence of specialism ahead of just being on your doorstep. That said, there could be a very good one on your doorstep that I don't know of. I found this list also by Googling (its one of ours/BFs apparently):

http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/dealers.htm

You could also consider buying privately and holding back £1-2k as self warranty / running fund in case of work that needs doing (even the youngest Bongos are not young). Need to do your homework whether buying from a dealer or privately (you get back what you put in, broadly) and have you thought about converted/unconverted/preferred engine type/2WD vs 4WD etc.?

Good luck, keep us posted. 8)
