Knocking from rear suspension.

My Bongo has developed a load knock from the rear.
Does not seem to be speed related and sounds like something broken maybe drag link, road spring or similar.
It becomes very loud at parking speed while turning left.
Recently replaced all the front end suspension and steering components I am assuming all is good up front and the noise is not travelling.
I have not had chance to get the Bongo up into the air yet but plan to do so today for inspection.
So looking for any advise on any common problems to look for in this area.

I'm trying to remember if a broken u-clamp in my rear torque rod caused something like this when one broke on mine. Worth checking in case.

Thanks for that could well be something like that...won't know until I get it up into the air later.

Too early in the morning for me - I meant anti-roll bar of course, and the clamp that holds it in place

Yep it was a broken anti roll bar clamp.
The bush has disappeared.
I will replace the bushes & clamps along with the drag links.
Phew a cheap repair at last.

Excellent. Quick cheap result. You should soon be enjoying a smooooth ride
P.S. Stop being so pessimistic Mike

But seriously, with luck it will be like mine - fatigue in the u-clamp metal. But Mike makes a good point: get some penetrating oil/WD40 on the bolts now and leave it for a day or so before tackling. Did I read somewhere that if necessary, getting some heat on the bolts (from a blowtorch) can help if they're seized?

No the fixed bolts are still there.
Should not prove too difficult after all the other work I have completed on this vehicle.

Nice and easy to do...replaced my rear pads while I was there.
Love my impact gun though.
Replaced both rear anti roll bar bushes and brackets along with the associated drag links.
Like a new vehicle now.

I know. I think of all the old cars that I thought were a crappy ride. Maybe they too just needed new droplinks and bushes. Mine haven't been done for years. think I might schedule to do them as I bet the ride will feel a lot better after.
Impact gun sounds interesting. What's that then?
