headlight swivel switch

Hi guys,
no sooner have I fixed the window switch that gave up...now the turny knob at the end of the indicator stalk that operates the side/head lights is beginning to loosen up..
I noticed recently that I was inadvertently knocking the lights on when indicating...on closer inspection the side light/head light 'stops' are distinctly slack so the knob turns far to easily..turning on vs turning off clicks in slightly different places so although both positions work I suspect in the not too distant future it's going to turn freely without locating at any specific position..
anyone know if replacing the indicator stalk separately is an option ? read a few posts that explain how the whole indicator/wiper assembly can be swapped out by removing it from the steering columns but am hoping there's a way to just replace the stalk (assuming I can find someone willing to sell just the stalk....)
thanks,
Ant.
