Heating

What do people use for a bit of heating in their bongos?
I've got a mains fan heater (used to use in the caravan) - which is fairly small (From memory switches between 500w/1kw). We found it excellent on hookup and on colder nights left it on the low setting all night. It is one with a wall mount - I'm tempted to make a mount and mount it where the seatbelts used to mount in the middle row on the side. Does that sound a good plan? I could then drop the wiring down and into the kitchen unit.
Do you think that will work? If I can make a decent enough bracket it could just be removable.

I use a 400w mini oil filled radiator,12 x 12 x 4 inches,thermostat controlled,and silent running.About £12 to buy.Slots nicely in the footwell of the sliding door,and keeps bongey and occupants nice and toasty

Agree with above there available from from Argos very cheaply and nice and safe.

Problem with having the heater off the floor is that heat rises. If you do what you are planning then the floor area will always be cold.

Always quite liked the blown heating especially when you come back wet and cold on a rainy day - but I guess in the bongo I can fire up the engine and put the heaters on for this purpose?
Will have a look for one of the oil filled ones when I next go out. Just trying to be careful to not keep buying things which need storing!

Trouble with running the engine to run the vehicle heater is it takes ages to warm up and you won't be popular on a campsite.
Also don't even think about it if you've had a drink.
If you have hook up the little rad is the way to go, silent and cheap, no need to carry it in summer.
