Hi, I'm considering removing the bumpers to investigate any corrosion? I cannot see any but there is some surface rust around the front cross members inside the engine bay, just needs a brush down and a bit of primer and some paint, unless I unearth any serious corrosion? anyway I'm not very techy so has anyone got any pics of the front/rear bumpers off so can try and see where all bolts are? What size spanners will I need, a list of tools needed would be helpful especially any specific? Thanks for your help :D

The front one is a 5 min job to remove
A few bolts visible from front removed with socket
There is 2 stability brackets in front wheel arches with small bolts in ( these bolt heads will probably snap off )
But it's not a problem as I've never put mine back in and bumper is fine
Don't know about rear one

Rear one just needs two screws on each side and 4 nuts behind the bumper.

This is the rear nearside mounting point:

These are the front mounting points:

Thanks for your replies Simon and Gasy, photos especially, much appreciated :D how many bolts on front and rear and do you know what size sockets as I have a not full socket set? Knowing my luck the missing pieces will be the ones I need  thanks again

I think the nuts are about 15mm and there are 4 on each bumper. The front stays are probably 10mm and the rear screws are 8mm.

I think you're right: it was 14mm rather than 15mm. A couple of the rear ones are not too accessible so it can be beneficial to have a ring spanner to get them started.
