Belts

Whilst under my freeda last night, I noticed that the 3 belts on front of engine are all frayed, do these need changing asap, do they drive the water pump etc.

Yes and yes. They drive the water pump, alternator and air con. I've just changed mine and it took surprisingly little time or effort.

20 minute job. Can be tricky to get the new belts to go over the edge of the pulley as they tend to want to stay 'packet shaped'.

I've just put on some non genuine ones from Auto Jap Car Spares on ebay (I've used them quite a bit) but I know others swear by the genuine ones. There isn't a huge cost difference, I paid £15 and I hear the genuine ones are only £25 (ish)

Club shop also sells them if you want good quality belts.
