We have installed a leisure battery and aren't planning on adding a mains hook up so is it advisable to still install a consumer unit or just a fuseboard?

A consumer unit is only required for a mains hookup and typically contains an RCB to trip in the event of a leak to earth and an MCB which is a resettable fuse in case the load exceeds the supply.

Depending on what you intend to run off the LB, there are some good kits around that come with all the wiring and fuses you require.

Thanks
It'll just be the fridge, lighting and 12v sockets. I'll look at some conversion websites.
