Hi,
Is there a simple way to increase the idle on my 1995 diesel bongo?
It runs at about 730rpm even when warm and is a bit juddery. 800-850 would be better.
Thanks in advance.
Tony.

adjust the nut on the end of the throttle cable, seen here.
http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html.
dont lift the revs too much as the glow plugs get turned off by the ecu if you go above approx 950 revs. make the adjustment when its fully warmed up then the cold start solenoids dont come into play.
when ticking over make sure the end of the cable pushes in the little plunger switch on the fuel pump.

No ,you don't adjust the cable, there is an adjustment on the injector pump, you will see the lever move when you operate the throttle pedal, slacken the lock nut and turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed.
Good Luck.
