Congratulations Another Bongo! You are now the new leader in our race to find the oldest Bongo in the UK! In fact there were only 3 4WD diesels made before yours. Is it in good condition?

WOW =D> As the logbook says 1/6/95 registered in japan I thought this was the age, celebrated last week on a trip away in it. It's in good condition (for an oldie) has a side conversion and tows my caravan now and then (France last year) as it's my only vehicle it takes me to work etc.. wheel arch rust will be the thing next mot, I think. I love bongos, used to have a 1996 v6, missed it, so I got this one, love it even more now. am I mad?? :D

14/06/1995!

Thanks to this thread, I now know my new favourite thing (my first Bongo, bought in April 2015) has the same birthday as an old favourite thing, my Dad!

Both me and Nicola had been saying we hardly saw any other Bongos as old as ours - Now I can see why. :)

Well, us "M regs" are special, as are our garage bills! I never see any either.

I saw an M Reg in Halfords Car Park, Basingstoke on Friday (4WD) as I browsed for DABs... I thought it was so unusual I hung about for a couple of minutes but didn't meet the owner. Only other one I've seen in the last 2 months.

http://www.picmonkey.com/

Click edit and browse to the image on your PC. Upload it and then click 'Crop' from the menu on the right hand side.

Then input the pixel size (160x120 for your avatar on here) and tick the box 'scale photo'.

Then you can click on the corner of the box that appears on your photo, make it center on the right bit of the image (you can make it bigger if you need) then when you click the 'Apply' button back in the right hand menu, the photo will resize for you to the pixel size you want.

Press 'save' at the top / middle of the webpage and select 'Pierce' for quality of image. Should save at the right aspect ratio and at the right resolution for it to be suitable for here.

Let me know if you get stuck :)

I have a M Reg v6 petrol, came up as 28/7/1995 on date checker chassis number ends 901. Is this now the oldest V6 petrol Lowtop? Must not have included my chassis number when I joined bongo fury.

It is showing it's age but not bad for a 20 year old bongo. Usual wheel arches and paint work.
