Sink drain on side conversion
We have a full side conversion on Blossom, our V6. On our first trip out I couldn't find the sink drain under the van to position the waste container. On inspection there was a ragged hole in the pan covering the rear air con and heater units. Water poured out of this hole and at various others when we drained the sink. A hose has been fed from the sink through the front section of the plastic storage pocket in the sidewall panel but it does not emerge under the van. The ragged hole looks like it was meant to take the drain hose but it is about a foot further back than the position where the hose enters the side wall. My questions are, can I take the hose straight down from the storage pocket and drill a new hole under the van or is there something under the floor that will prevent me doing this? The sink is immediately behind the drivers seat. Has anyone else with a side conversion had this problem?

Do you have any info on the type of conversion? Rather than drilling more holes in the bottom of the van you might be better getting a new length of pipe and routing it to the existing hole. There is very little room to play with by the rear heater unit and I think you may struggle to get a fresh hole drilled.

Re: Sink drain on side conversion
We tried to feed in a longer length of hose but the routing seems very convoluted. I did consider removing the conversion but it looks like a "dockyard job". I may try removing the storage pocket and see if I can locate the bottom hole. The only other option is to drain the sink directly into a waste container in the locker.

Re: Sink drain on side conversion
After much thought we have taken the drain through the cupboard units and out through the floor just outboard of the Rh chassis at the back of the van. The drain hose connects to a single caravan outlet which is bolted to the bumper at the rear corner. It's neat and it works. Result!!
