Ok twice now low coolant alarm has come on whilst driving. The alarm slowly comes to life light on, stays on for a while about 20 seconds second time longer first time then goes off. No coolant loss and no temp increase with TM2.
Thinking it could be earth or something?

After a while. We do have the usual chirping when starting but this is on constant.

Take the screws out and either replace or give em a really good clean, happens with mine now and again.

hi haydon

mines doing the same every now and then

touch cloth scenario when your on the motorway

stays on or flickers - then goes off

I think its prob the screw getting coated etc

I have never changed it

if I send you the funds - is it possible you can send me a replacement

also - MY BUZZER - DOESNT BUZZ - no problem because it was annoying - but my led still works

was this ever reported as a problem ?
thanks

andy

I would imagine that you would like this function to work properly, if its annoying its indicating that there is a fault IE lack of coolant in the header/expansion tank etc .

hi teemal

the alarm works fine - but only with the led

it flashes bright enough to get my attention straight away

in fairness - if the bulb went - I wouldn't be so happy - I would need the buzzer

but I do check its working ok every time I start her up

[-X

no fear there - I would have a new one on order as soon as it didn't flash on start up

I doubt your problem is a dirty screw (always wanted one of those). Make sure level is o.k. Send your address though and a new clean screw will be sent by return ( it will be a bigger one ) regarding the buzzer...is your alarm unit cylinder shaped or cube??

Not checked anything yet apart from coolant level. looks like it could be earth or something as it did it again today but put indicator on to turn and it went straight off.

Check the sensor screw is snug and the ring terminal is firmly in place.
