The main battery (engine) is getting past it now. It is about 8 years old and is not too happy holding a charge of 12v and above.
Any recommendations for a replacement? I have a Halfords trade card, so a Halfords one would be idea.
What sort of Amp hour etc am I looking for?
Thanks !!

Many of us use Bosch Battery S4 335 with 4 year warranty. Can usually be picked up for around £80 mark:

I think you'll find it will be cheaper in Eurocarparts, even allowing for your Halfrauds trade card

I went to my local breakers yard with my bongo and they matched me up with a fabulous Varta heavy duty, complete with warranty docs still in a pouch on the side, it looked brand new, cost me £20.00, came home and checked online 90 odd quids worth of battery, fab result

Avoid ECP's own brand 'Lion' batteries. They are total junk & seem to have a lifespan of around 6 months if you are lucky
Go for either a Bosch or Yuasa 335.
I believe a 068 & a 335 are equivalent batteries.

I have a piddly little battery on mine ..though it seems to run everything and starts instantly!
I have a brand new yuasa battery which would be ideal and give me peace of mind that everything was optimized unfortunately the terminals are wrong..has anyone had any success fitting this kind of battery?
