Wipers gone mad!

They say things happen in threes. First the exhaust then anti roll bar bushes and now wipers, all in a week.

On the way back from a trip to Wales, I used the wash wipe which was OK but wipers would not stop moving except by turning the ignition off. Being a dry day I decided to pull the fuse but which one? Tried every fuse I could find but none had any effect. Eventually I had to disconnect the wiper motor. Funny thing is the rear wiper and washer still work fine.

Anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be and which fuse supplies the wipers.
