Mazda E Bongo?

We have just insured our Bongo with Direct Line and they call it a Mazda E Bongo. Also, although we told them it was converted, they list modifications as nil. Should I call them and ask for the policy to be amended? I have checked on Google and it looks like the E series were vans and trucks not MPV although the Bongo Friendee is listed.
The insurance was well priced at just less than £300 with Green Flag breakdown included.

YES and urgently.

They have not insured the correct vehicle.

You have a Bongo Friendee not a Bongo E.

If something goes wrong they will probably refuse to pay out even if the mistake is theirs.

PS
Did you do it online or did you talk to someone and explain this?

Unless your registration doc calls it an E Bongo or you've got a badge on the back that says anything others than Bongo Friendee, then I would be questioning Direct Line's classification.

Having said that, my V5 just says Mazda so that's pretty vague.

Called Direct Line. Because they only recognise ' Mazda E Bongo' and Andy's Imports are not one of their recognised converters the premium goes up by nearly £100. Contacted Caravan Club and they have no problems with Bongos even home converted ones. Premium without NCD now £198. Well pleased! I think it pays to go with an insurer who knows what a Bongo Friendee is.

Yep I'm with C&CC too. You get much better cover of contents and camping gear as many 'car' insurance policies won't cover your possessions.

Admiral or c&cc if you need to cancel and reinsure. I'm guessing that if you're paying in error £300 then you're probably going to get a good quote (£200+) for a conversion
