Front wiper arms - alternatives?

Curiosity more than anything, but does anybody know if there are slightly nicer looking alternative wiper arms that will direct fit a Bongo? The Bongo ones look a bit naff and rust easily (despite a respray). Could be a nice, relatively easy pimp.

Some people have bought shiny stainless / chrome ones

I've seen the wiper blades (as in the easily detachable bits that hold the rubber thing) in chrome but I'd love to know if you could get the actual arms in chrome or stainless

I'm not a huge chrome fan and certainly not for wiper blades for the reason noted. I was thinking something a bit less skimpy and rust prone. I've toyed with making custom clip on covers, but it's a lot of effort (I'd cad them up and 3d print them).

I agree wiper arms aren't very nice and always seem corroded, where or who would you go to to get them CADed and printed? :?: :?:

I've been work with 3d scanning, cad and 3d printing (additive manufacture) since 2003 (although I mostly design custom implants and prosthesis). I've got my own scanner and basic cad at home, then I'd use the manufacturing equipment at work (since it's many times better than the low-cost home printers). Problem is time!

I whipped the arms off, cleaned them up and I'm in the process of spraying with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. That should keep them looking reasonable for a while. Lacquer tomorrow.
