Hi guys another newbie question after replacing reversing switch in gear box i was expecting the corner sensor to work but it still is not operational. i now think it may be the well worn switch on the dash, any ideas where i could get a replacement? Thanks in advance

No we only have rear corner sensors.

If they are parking sensors, they will be an after-market item, as they were not fitted as standard.

They were a factory option. Geoff has them (as I recall). There is an LCD display on the dashboard and one at the top of the tailgate window.
Here's a photo of the front display that is from a listing on Gumtree. The rear is the same but hangs upside down from the roof.

Yup the original type fitted have three corners- not the drivers corner, and two rear facing sensors, the three work all the time its switched on and the two rear facing come in to play when reverse is selected as well.

In Simon's catalogue the front nearside corner has a parking pole attached (what's called 'corner guide' in Japanese katakana).
I still have a parking pole, complete with motor, on my van. We used to have one of these on our Honda Civic when we lived in Japan. I'd love to reactivate the one on my Bongo! I don't recall anyone on the list resurrecting theirs recently, though I know this has been a topic on the Forum in the past.
Cheers from Leon

I think a lot of them end up with the motor failing due to their location where it gets a good drenching.
Have you got the corner guide switch and if so, does it do anything? You could try applying 12v direct to the motor and seeing if it moves.

I don't have the switch, Simon; but I will try applying 12v to the motor some time.
Americans seem to like these for their old Hondas. There's a company called JDM which made them; see

they usually fail because they have a strimmer type plastic line inside, when the motor turns it winds the line in/out, this line gets age hardened and snaps into pieces.

Something from an automatic ariel may sort it.

This looks interesting; but it's overkill:
