Chipp/Calne crew would like to be together if at all possible. I neglected to post EHU needs except for Daran so rather than mess everybody else up there has been a flurry of activity sorting out an EHU splitter. Some just need leccy temporarily to top up battery. One or two don't need it at all. This sounds like a real nuisance! I didn't realise there were tricky layout considerations.
The problem will be the layout because all the spots near the ehu will be near the pub garden and we'll only be able to house the caravans and big motorhomes there, and Daran. Not a good idea to keep moving vans around to top up ehu because of the ground. I only have Daran down for ehu.

You could run the engine to top up the leisure battery, couldn't you?

If you want to be together then that will mean non-ehu I'm afraid. Let me know if this causes any issues.

I suggest you use the post and rail side of the campsite and then you'll be closest to Daran and ehu. Keep as close together as you can. I'll go on the road hedge side with non-Chippenham people if that's ok with everyone else.

Always happy to be near you, Jilly. :D

In actual fact the site isn't that huge so we'll pretty well all be together anyhow.

Are dogs welcome?

Re our EHU problem. 2 of our vans will have children sleeping in them (one is Daran's) and it would be good to get them on EHU at night. We will have ample splitters.

Walking options certainly of interest to many of the crowd. Perhaps we could finalise on Friday evening?

Dogs on leads (there are free-range chickens) OK. The 2 with children sleeping should be the closest to the pub end - or we'll sort on Friday, what sort of time will they be arriving? Do you have extensions too? I'll bring mine and my splitter - I won't be using them.

Bob - yes! I'll be near you. You and Sooty go nearest the entrance. Rest of us along the hedge.

I'll have an extension lead that will be used for lighting the Event Shelter at night.

During the day this could be used (subject to its 50M limit) by anyone wanting to charge stuff during the day.

Should be there around lunch Friday...

I notice the pub has a barn for functions and the like.

Would it help Dave if we had Sunday lunch there so he could take Mother's Day bookings in the pub, or would we over run the kitchen?

I had a look through the barn doors when I was there and it looked like it needed a good clean and was being used for storage. I think Dave would have needed a couple of weeks notice at least. And yes, I think it may overwhelm the kitchen staff.

I think if it was an option Dave would have offered this as a solution. But i may be wrong!

Thanks to Paul for the offer of use of the lead but please remember we want to avoid moving vehicles as much as possible.

I'm old enough to know a meter is for working out your gas bill.

Thanks Gilly for booking me in for meals, and Bob for arrival info.

I'll aim for mid-dayish.

Looking forward to it.
