I'm looking at replacing the flexi section in my 2.5td. All the rest is fine. When you buy the flexi secion do you normally need new steel gaskets:

Or are the originals normally reusable?

Save me £12 if I know! as I'll buy

You need to fit new ones. Very annoying that vendors don't offer gaskets and bolts as an option - well I couldn't find any that did when I needed a new backbox recently

if your on a budget or just tight like me then reuse the old ones, i coat them in exhaust assembly paste on both sides and nip them up well, new nuts and bots can help though.

Just use the old gaskets they are guaranteed for 100 years unless you butcher them ..

Old gaskets are not guaranteed to work as intended 2nd time around. Cost of new gaskets over gun-gun paste is probably the price of a pint.

As mikexgough might say - yer pays yer money.....

...personally I like to keep it clean and proper 8) .
