Maiden Bongo voyage...

was at a festival at the weekend, great friendly festival. And bongo ran nice... a few small issues one being fuse blowing cause of a loose wire under the bonnet... I saw it had come uncrimped so have to sort that blew and 20A fuse between the 2 batteries. I was wondering why the control unit for the water pump, mains etc. had been intermittent in weeks before. Hopefully the new fuse (of course that is the one thing I did not take) that I have ordered will sort it (I hope anyway)
I mean look, we had the kitchen sink (literally one built in)

Smooth driving in the Bongo a joy to drive really. 330 miles all round, 3 more festivals for the year to go so getting some proper usage out of it, then hopefully a trip to Wales in the Autumn. (any tips on places to stay in and around Brecon Beacons appreciated)
One thing is it was a little bit hassley as the Mrs. wanted to lay on the Bongo floor for the back so we brought the rear seats forward which blocked the cooking position so it was a case of musical chairs and constant reconfiguring... loved it up in the tent, all cosy, put a few extra thin mattress up there.. a foam camping one and also a foam/air filled on £30.00 from go Outdoors + the split one already in the bongo. Comfortable and well insulated from below. Probably get a bit chilly up there Sept I imagine but great fun.
Have to remember water bottle and pee bottle up there though otherwise much cursing occurs in middle of night !
