Whats a popular size and what other Mazda wheel will fit the Bongo, sorry a bit new to all this.
Cheers Ant.

There are loads of threads in this section that will answer your queries
Other wheels that fit can be found here
http://www.alloywheelsinternational.com ... UIDE1.html and, once you know your wheel size, you can find your tyre size here
http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html .
You need wheels with a PCD of 114.3 and a centre bore of 67.1. Larger centre bore wheels will fit, but you will need spigot rings to bring it back to 67.1.

RX8 are the wheels of choice, cheap, 18" and look the part.
World is your oyster if you have no budget though - well up to 20" I think?

Bear in mind: the larger the rim size, the more expensive it is to get tyres of the correct load rating. Also worth checking with insurance company what their stance is on non-standard sizes. I know of someone on another forum whose premium went up by over £70 for changing the size.

Thanks for your replies.
Some food for thought there.

How would it worth with insurance if you run a different set of wheels for winter and summer (nice alloys for summer, steels with winter tyres for winter) I wonder?

You would need to speak to your specific company to see what their view is. If you fitted winter tyres on standard steel rims and then reverted to summer tyres on same rims I don't think you'd have a problem. However, if you fit tyres of a different size, or aftermarket alloys then it may be considered a modification. I've made several mods, and so far, the C & CC insurers have happily added them to my policy with nothing more than £20 admin fee for re-issuing the policy.

I've decided to pimp mine up and have just bought a bonnet bra and a set of RX8 alloys and they have transformed the look of my wagon.
P.S. I've now got a set of 15 inch alloys with 2 very good tyres and 2 just about legal for sale

Did it have any effect on the insurance premium?

I've currently got deep dish alloys, all R18. Have 255/40 on front and 265/35 on rear. Just had it lowered more so going up to 265/45 on rear.
Just make sure you check the load & speed rating. Good Luck.
