Space for the Portapotti

Hi, I'm looking to buy my first Bongo and am not very familiar with the layout options. I want to start with a simple people carrier version at first, just to sleep in. Critically it also needs to have space for a portapotti (13"x 15"+1.5" to flush!) when the seats are folded down at night. I only need a single bed 'downstairs', so my questions is; if I fold all the rear seats down except one half of the rear pair, is that stable enough as a single bed and is there room for the potty in the corner by the raised seat? Alternatively, can a decent bed be made by reclining the driver/passenger seats and leave the rear row folded up for 'toilet space'? Am I right in thinking that the more recent imports have a single back seat which is unsuitable for half folding to accommodate the toilet? Thanks. Keen to get on the road.

We sleep on the front and middle seats leaving the rear splits folded up for just that reason and if I'm on my own the back of the middle folded forward makes a neat bedside table.

If you don't need all 8 seats the rear could be removed and stored.

And welcome aboard. :D

Not all of them have split rear seats
Something else to put on your list when looking for a bongo

It depends how you convert your Bongo. If I remember right And & Den's Bongo conversion had space for a toilet at the back of the side facing seat. Most conversions don't leave room for one.

Thanks so much for your helpful replies. Sounds like the more recent versions with the full width rear seat are off my list. Split seat is much more versatile. Inspired by the bedside table! Just gotta find one now (in the next three weeks. No pressure!). Cheers
