Broken rocker posts etc.

I started to strip down they engine again today.
I have been very unlucky and lucky at the same time.
Three rocker posts have broken and one rocker has sheared on the adjuster screw.
The ball of which I found rolling around in the cylinder head along with the locking nuts.
However, it looks like on the cam and the rocker posts will need replacing along with the fingers themselves.
Many worry is swarf from the broken posts.
I have removed the sump and found a couple of small pieces there.
Found a few more pieces when checking the oil that was removed.
I can't believe that the engine was running albeit on three cylinders with all these broken fingers etc.
I have managed to remove the damaged posts and need some new ones
Anyone got an engine that they are dismantling?
I am going to blow through the oil ways as best I can.
I have removed the main and big end bearing caps and there is no significant damage to them.
Might as well re ring the engine while I am this far stripped down.
Anyone else had a failure like this.
The sides of the rocker support posts have elongated and eventually failed.
This engine has only done 16000 miles since I put the head on it.
