Where have people been getting their resistors form for modifying the Temp Guage??

I am in France, so can't walk into my local Maplins, and at 14€ for a rocker switch I'm not buying components localy!

Thanks Tom

You probably all ready know this

"International Delivery"
Online orders can be shipped to anywhere in the UK, Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland, unfortunately we can not ship to locations other than these at present.
so ordering online from maplins is also not an option
Try

http://www.conrad.fr/

http://www.conrad.fr/ce/fr/product/1056 ... archDetail
gives 100ohm 3w surface mount resistor @ 2.o5 euro
better french and searching may get what you want

German site in english also have 10ohm .39 euro

You don't want Surface Mount components for this purpose, you need wire ended, thru hole mounting resistors.

Agree Geoff

perhaps should have said "need"

a though hole component would be easiest, If push comes to shove to use with SMD tinned copper wire affix to terminal (crimp solder) and solder to pads, check clearance to housing

As a matter of interest is this an easy job or a fiddly one ? i.e. complete dash removal?

An improvement over the originals slow response would be great.

It's not complex, but does involve removing the displays and the actual thermo display from the unit, this needs some delicate work as over tighting the screws can damage the meter connections.
