Hi again;

Could anyone recommend a good insurer/company to arrange side road assistance for UK and Europe? I am struggling to find something good because the van is a 1995 model, more than 17 years :(

Thank you all.

AA or RAC, use Personal cover option.

We used RAC for UK year-long cover and RAC for a two week trip last year.

I also found these guys: http://motorbreakdownrecovery.com/

Which is interesting, as it's run by 2insure - I got an insurance quote off them the other day, mentioned that I'd be looking for Euro breakdown cover and they said "We can't cover anything in Europe over 15 years old" (even though my bongo is a 2001)

Strange - anyway £75 seems alright for Euro cover for a year, however some above have found cheaper! :)

I can second autonational rescue, got me out of jip a few times over the last 10 years I have been with them. No problems with them good company in my experience. And it was just £15.00 for the Bongo to add to my existing policy this year. Cannot say fairer.

Thanks all, just a follow up.

I was going to go with autonational but then when I got the insurance from clubcare insurance they offered me euro (90 days to match the insurance) cover for 60 ish quid - so I just took it there and then as it was a bit cheaper and think it's done through RAC.

Still waiting for the paperwork though!

Cheers
