Hi

This is a stupid question but need some tips to help overcome a problem.

The funnel I have previously used to bleed my van broke a while ago and i chucked it out without paying much attention to its construction. This weekend I had planned to bleed my van due to an issue reported in previous post and popped to the local DIY store to buy a new funnel. Could I find one big enough, and narrow enough to connect to the bleed hose.....no i couldn't.

So clearly the one I had been using had been cleverly put together by the previous owner and i should have paid more attention to how it was created. So my stupid question is can anyone advise on the easiest way to bodge/mod a big funnel in order to create a good connection to the bongo bleed hose?

Thanks

Go and get a decent sized funnel.....then.....Cut the spout so you can force the bleed tube up INSIDE it...(use a screwing/ pushing action) you will find if you get it right it will not leak or fall out..

Put the bleed tube inside the cut off spout....not the spout down into the tube.

then as an extra to haydns tip, jam a silicone sealer spout/nozzle down inside it to hold it in place.

or use a brass adapter that fits into the end of the funnel like this or similar.

screw the fat end into the funnel, then add a jubilee clip, then push fit to your bleed pipe.
