Hi everyone, this is my first post.

Can someone please tell me which 2 wires on this plug that powers the rear door light i need to connect my tracker to?

The light is at the rear on the passenger side in the roof

Colour codes are on the at the bottom.

Blue/Red is +12v
Black is Ground
Dark Green/Red is the switch

A couple of things:

Now we all know where you're taking the power for the tracker from, we'll be queuing up to nick your van . Be mindful to keep details of your security measures under wraps as you never know who might be reading this.

The interior light power feed is a bit weedy & the voltage will drop as you open the doors which could cause issues with the tracker. A better option would be a dedicated supply with its own fuse.

I chose that light as i can also hide the tracker in the roof lining. If i take power straight from the battery is there somewhere in the bulkhead that is easy to get to so i can threat the wire inside?

2 big rubber grommets each side at the top (1 is behind glove box )

I'm with Simon on this. Trackers are supposed to be so secret that even the owner might not know where it has been fitted.

Mine is wired into the... and pings underwater for at least thirty days, even with the car battery removed!

Is it one of the cheap Chinese trackers that you put the SIM card in & control via text message ? Im not looking to steal your car Just help with your installation.
That's the one I have, if it is this one or one similar then you don't need to connect the door trigger wire unless you need it to let you know if a door has been opened. Also if you have a leisure battery with your interior lights rewired to come off the LB if you wire in an electrical device that's connected to the starter battery circuit you could effectively have both your batteries in parallel all the time.
I would advise not connecting any wires direct to the battery, you should be able to get all the connections you need inside the cab, all wires to the tracker (or any part of the tracker) should not be visible so wires direct to the battery are easily got at, I also assume it has a GPS/GSM aerial(s), have you thought about where you are going to hide them, ideally they should be completely hidden from view but need a clear view of the sky without any metal in the way, behind plastic is no problem, could be difficult at the back of the van.

You are spot on, that is why you should not give your real Name and Location on an open Forum.

Depends if your going to use all do it's features or not. All you really need to connect is the permanent live, the earth & plug the GPS & GSM aerials in.
I think the exact location of the connections is better kept off an open forum so I have sent a PM.
PS I have assumed you have a diesel variant so if you don't the remote cutout immobiliser connection may be different.
