Having needed to go and seek European breakdown cover for my 18 year old bongo I did quite a bit of research BUT I have found the answer...... A Flex plus account with the Nationwide building society. £120 per year. (£10 per month and job done). Breakdown cover with no age limits and travel insurance all included. It might be worth it to you

Re: Travel and Breakdown insurance
I looked at this as well, I was looking to drive to Latvia!
There is this exception:
The following are not covered:
• Motorcycles, motorhomes, caravanettes, commercial
vehicles (all types), vans, pick up trucks and vehicles being
used for hire and reward purposes (such as taxis)
which worried me.

Re: Travel and Breakdown insurance
asked them if an unconverted MPV was covered - reply "yes"
Asked them if I had converted it to sleep in as opposed to fitting a kitchen/sink cooker etc. told if not fitted then it was so far as they were concerned still an MPV . sufficient clarification for me!
Obviously it is a matter for anyone going this route.
10 days to me holiday.
