Just noticed that both of the white/clear sectors of the rear light clusters are accumulating standing water

I thought about drilling a tiny hole at the lowest point, letting the water out and them applying a dot of silicone..... reasonable?

is it easy to remove the cluster? Is there a way to stop it reoccurring?

If it's the lights on the body, then undo the crosshead screws and pull the whole cluster rearwards:

its on the tailgate (1999) but there are black plastic boltheads visible on the inner outside edge that look like they retain the light cluster (i will undo and check what falls off!) will look for a "natural" drainage route and if not drill a wee pilot hole, drain and bung

Mine used to almost completely fill 2 yrs ago.Drilled a small hole at an angle,not been a problem since.

I had this in my rear clear lense on my tailgate, you need to remove the panel from the inside of the tailgate, remove both sets of the plastic capped nuts on the outer edge, remove the 4 gold captured nuts within the door, remove the two cross head screws. Unbolt the door handle from outside, 2x 10mm bolts, there are then 4x plastic retaining clips that you have to push the outsides in to get them to push though the door skin, 2 are very difficult to access within the very corners of the door. Once the panel is off, you can remove the lense from the back panel. I drilled a small hole in both corners of mine to release the water, I didn't reseal as there is a preformed gap at the top anyway.

If I had seen this earlier, I would of took some pictures, it's a long process for such a little task, typical Bongo!

Did you remove the panel or just drill in situ? If so, where did you put the holes? Need to do mine at some point but will be taking the whole panel off to rescue a number plate bulb that fell inside.

I could have drilled a pair of even smaller hole or two but still sealing them up with a smear
of translucent silicone keeps the inside less like a big greenhouse!....

I had the same problem for ages, but using the smallest drill bit i could find i drilled at both bottom corners. At the time i could just kneel down and blow the water through (best to do in seclusion lol) Have never had a problem since, and left unsealed. Marc

i had this on one of mine. just drilled holes in bottom and top to allow water to run out. never had it fill up with water or condensation since
