Aero body kit and insurance

Confused by the way that online quote systems determine what is a modification or not. Buying a Bongo which is described as an Aero City Runner and has the factory-fitted Aero body kit and alloys. Obviously I will be informing 2Gether/Lifesure/AFlux of the kit/wheels when I call them for quotes, on the basis that declare everything is the best advice, but I'm still intrigued as to whether these things are seen as modifications or standard (albeit optional) as they are factory fit?

If it's as it left the factory then you have nothing to worry about. I've yet to see an Aero model that doesn't have an Aero bodykit, however, some non-Aeros have had body kits fitted retrospectively.

Modifications they should be informed of typically include: towbar, LPG, stereo (& pretty much none of us still use original Jap radio), non-standard wheels, air spring assistors, alarm, camper conversion etc.
