Bongo Fury

I've had my Bongo for three years. It was imported with a nice set of 17ins alloys which I swop for winter tyres each November. I've never had a problem but since changing back to the alloys I've had a vibration at 65mph.

So, off to the tyre fitters to check the wheel balance which turns out to be fine. As he's putting the wheels back on, he shows some concern and calls me over. You guessed, the wheel centre was bigger than the hub spigot. If I had a tenner for the number of times I've seen comment about this on BF I'd have enough for a nice holiday but I've never thought to check. Off to the alloy shop and £10 worse off, problem solved.

There must be some lesson here but I'd suggest that anyone in my situation who doesn't know the provenance of their alloys does a check. Might prevent a problem in the future.

It would also be worth checking the Load rating of any Non standard alloy wheels to make sure they meet the vehicles requirements.

how would you find the load rating of the wheel?
Another than they are jappanese alloy 15" I no nothing else about them. I seen no markings recently when a tyre was off, but did't look too hard.

From memory, the proper Bongo alloys are rated somewhere over 600kg each.
