Hi There,

If by left you mean a unit on the passenger side then there should be a lighter socket behind it . If you look inside the cupboard there should be the armrest/cupholder etc and there should be a socket nearby.

My unit doesn't have a back on it. The socket is on the side panel of the van. The 12v plug from the unit (that works the tap) usually plugs straight into this, but I have added an adapter so that I can plug in both the unit itself and a coolbox.

Heres how they work assuming its just a bog standard one.

If it has a fan you will have some noise
Absorbtion type fridges are totally silent, but cost more, work better but use more electricity

Hi,

It's hard to say why the rear socket in't working without seeing it.

On a slightly different note - do you have a leisure battery? Both front and rear sockets in my bongo are connected to my leisure battery - without that the coolbox would run down the starter battery very quickly. Even if you have a leisre battery it's worth checking what's connected to it before plugging in.

Just buy a cigar socket and connect it to the kitchen feed cables then
You could check the cables to rear socket
Remove the rear pocket / drinks holder there one Phillips screw in bottom of storage pocket and it pulls out.
