Reliable garage/repairs near Nottingham?

I'm looking for somewhere to take my Bongo for servicing and repairs in the Nottingham area if possible?

I used to use Hillside Leisure in Derby but I haven't been happy with them the last couple of visits, they dont seem interested in an N reg 'old banger' even though my Bongo is well looked after and has got many years left in her

I desperately need a garage who can look at a bad knocking noise coming from underneath the van, I took it to Hillside a few months ago and they replaced the rear D links but the knocking has come back and it's even worse now, it only happens on rough/bumpy surfaces.

I've also got bad rust on my rear wheel arches and want to get them cut out and replaced/repainted. Hillside told me just to patch it up with a bit of filler as it's an old banger and not worth doing properly (you can understand why I'm not happy with them now!) so if anyone can recommend someone that would be great

I appreciate there may not be anyone very local so will travel a bit further afield to find the right garage.

I cant help you with the mechanic side of things unless you come to Leicester

but mine will be off to Nottingham in a couple of weeks for my arches

Have you had yours done yet? Are you going for full cut out and weld option and is Phil touching up the paintwork too?

I don't mind travelling to Leicester for a garage if they do a good job!

yep - having the arches cut out etc

there was a discrepancy with the colour -

so it will be being worked on today tomorrow

its not in Leicester - it is in Nottingham

I have done a thread on its own

once I have the bongo back I will update it
