hello

I just bought a bongo a few weeks ago just found a few issues that maybe someone can help me with, it has a side conversion with a zig unit at the rear, I noticed that the aftermarket kenwood stereo did not work, although when I took the head unit out it had a flashing red light so I assumed there was power going to it, I also noted that the cigarette power socket does not seem to work nor the electric wing mirrors don't fold in, so I am assuming maybe this is all connected maybe something simple that being a newbie I haven't fathomed out.

I bought a new stereo fitted it in with the right iso cables but still no joy.. although when I push the cd button I can hear the mech working inside but still no display, just a point to know is that I have checked the fuses they seem to be ok, but noticed there is a jumper cable going into the fuse slot that is for stereo so I guess its something to do with the zig.

anyone out there can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

thank you

This might, or might not help but, if my memory serves me right, on the kenwood there is a red and an orange cable with an in line connector on each. have you tried unplugging them and reconnecting so you have red to orange on both, if you get my drift.

That jumper cable will be to power that fused supply off of the leisure battery
Follow the cable looking for another fuse or fuse box
Check the zig unit for fuses
Has the leisure batt got a good charge in it

Sounds like it just has the permanent live going to it and the other (which was switched live is not live)
