Wheel nuts for Steel Wheels

Are the standard wheel nuts meant for the Mazda Alloy wheels (sgl5 sp) ok to use with a full size steel wheel? Had a puncture yesterday and when I went to the spare steel wheel off all the nuts were loose, some finger tight! I know I had definitely tightened them up as my wife was with us and watched me do it!
Any ideas?

Cheers, bit worrying as a lot of us have swapped the space savers for full size steel ones, I bet the space savers have a different seat for the nut than standard steel wheels?

Nuts will be the same for steels and spacesaver as they are standard, nuts for alloys will be different.

A lot of nuts for alloys are closed at one end as most alloys don't have trims on. As the steel wheels are thinner than the alloys sometimes the nuts simply won't tighten on the wheel as the bolt is at the end of the thread.
If the above isn't the case and the seat is the same angle then generally they would be OK.

That's probably it, probably need some spare non dome nuts then?
