Continuous relay click from left rear

Hello

I've just got a Bongo and have noticed that there is a continuous click, every second or so, from what sounds like a relay behind the interior panel on the passenger side at the rear of the vehicle (around the rear light area by the sound of it).

Has anyone any idea what might be causing this? The vehicle has a tow bar and I'm wondering if it might be something to do with the towing electrics?

I'm happy to steam in and remove the panel, but finding the relay might not be finding the problem so to speak.

Any help much appreciated.

Martin

There is not normally a relay in that location although there is a control module for the AFT (if fitted) on the drivers side. I wouldn't have thought there would be a relay fitted for a towbar either unless it's a split charge if you have twin electrics.

I'm wondering if you've got a mains inverter which was a factory option. That would have a switched mode unit inside which could click if faulty. It's of no use as it is puts out 110v and does have a habit of causing other issues so it should be disconnected. Have a look for a square black plate with one or two sockets as shown in the second picture on the left:

Thanks Simon.

I can't see an inverter panel on the outside so I guess I just need to climb in and take a look and see what's clicking.

If I'm not back in a day send a search party.

I've got one of those!
A click that is. I think mine comes from the sliding door. Mine seems to stop if I manually pull the door lock up on the drivers door quite hard. So I assume it is a locking relay in the door. Could yours be the same?
