Bongo Fury

Try as might I can't seem to find any images of one fitted to a bongo

I like the one in the BMW clock, but I was thinking of fitting a double din stereo with all gizmos.
So where else do you guys fit these?

Any images would be a bonus!

I've got me window blind switches were briwys put his
So I put mine here but was going to put it in big cubby hole next to me other gauge
Have seen them to right of drivers knee in the little cubby hole

These aren't the Haydn ones correct?

They're an inexpensive Chinese gauge which Haydn did buy a batch of & then offer to a few members for a free trial. I think the majority developed faults & were subsequently returned. He never supplied any more of that type.

Mine would get up to temperature & then stick there regardless of the actual temp so was pretty useless. Even though there are 2 sensors, it only displays the highest reading so you cannot switch between to the two so you can't monitor water & head temp independantly.

Pros: cheap & the lack of options makes it simple to use
Cons: reliability, the case is intended to be panel mounted & the lack of options means you are limited on diagnosis

The best ones are TM2 / TM4 available from Haydn's daughter Jo who now looks after the coolant alarm business.

I'm obviously missing something, I can see the blue gauge and the Chinese gauge - but no TM-4?

That blue gauge is now fitted to the top of that cubby hole next to a double 12v cigar socket
The Chinese temp gauge has not given me any probs been over 9 months now
And I would notice if it started to go wrong as I'm used to the way it climbs and decrease in temp
With what the van is doing ( that one came from Canada , I'm happy with it . It's as accurate as my gas analyser thermometer probe , and rises and falls at same speed as that )

I havent got a picture to hand so I commented about the one allready posted.
I have mounted my TM4 in the cubby hole, just above were the photo shows the blue gauge.

We're ever you put yours make sure you can see it easily when driving
Because I think you will find even tho it has an alarm on it
You will do nothing but watch it when you are driving
(So you don't have to move your eyes to far off the road your supposed to be watching when driving)

Good point I mounted mine here but then couldn't see it whilst driving

The one in my pictures came from Canada, cost around £25 if I remember correctly.
Worked perfectly for the couple of years plus that we had that Bongo.
