I know this has been covered before but i have a slightly different question on it.
I got to the airbag connectors and checked for loose connections all seemed ok. I put back together and worked fine till i hit a big bump (on roads today all to common)
If i strip it down again and this time not connect the airbag up.
Will the airbag deploy on its own?
Will the airbag warning light go away ?
thankyou

Can't say for sure but my thoughts are:
Will the airbag deploy on its own? No, but you should be very careful when connecting / disconnecting as they have been known to go off with a charge from static electricity.
Will the airbag warning light go away ? Probably not as it should be lit to indicate a fault & that is now an MOT failure (as would be removing the bulb to hide the problem).
May also invalidate your insurance if you have intentionally disabled a vital safety system. Plus, it will be you or a member of your family that might rely on an airbag in the event of an accident.....

Which connectors did you check ? On the drivers side there are 3 sets;
One on the Airbag computer S-01
One on the steering wheel coloumn S-04
one on the Airbag itself S-03

Can anyone identify the connectors S03 and SO4 -- I have disconnect all I can see but nothing has affected the airbag light. It may be that the 6 flash fault mode is the default - thats what you get if you interupt the circuit - but I am struggling a bit.

S-03 is the connector on the end of the Airbag itself to the top of the clockspring, and S-04 is the one on the lower end;
