Glow Plug replacement

Hi,
replaced my glow plugs yesterday as part of my working through all the planned maintainence, as my Bongo came as a new import with no service record. Its a 96 2.5td AFT and the chassis number indicated the 83mm size, so I went ahead and ordered a set of NGK replacements.
Followed the instructions off the fact sheets and got to the removal of the plugs - behold they were the longer ones! Didnt want to have to put all back together and try to get them swopped, so I managed to get them fitted by spacing out the top threads using washers and a nut, leaving just enough to get the bar safely on. All then went back together ok and started fine.
Just my luck to have one of the odd ones out, but when I had the bits off I actually found my engine number!

These are handy if you need to raise the rail.(example)

M4 should be the thread size.

All i did was not refit the rail.
Made up some links using 97 strand insulated cable with eyes properly crimped on each end and replaced the eye on the main cable with a smaller one.
Had been OK for 5 years.
