Central Locking Problems

Hi all, My vehicle hadn't got a central locking fob when imported. I got around the problem by using the fob for my second Bongo. This was easily done by removing the drivers side door card and then holding in the rest button on the central nocking module whilst holding down the button on the fob so that the system learnt the frequency.
The big down side was having to share the fob between 2 vehicles. Also due to the proximity of the camper to my day van when unlocking the van I would often end up unknowingly leaving the camper unlocked when leaving home.
So I've purchased from a breakers a second hand Central locking receiver & fob (matched obviously) and have swapped them out into my day van. The central locking works fine with the exception of the following.
If the vehicle is left unlocked the system will lock the vehicle within a couple of minutes. This is great if you are forgetful. However it still does the same if you have unlocked the vehicle got in and driven off. Which might seem like a good safety future, but a pain having to unlock the doors to get out.
My other van doesn't do this, so I expect this is a later unit.
Question, does anyone else's do the same & is there a method of programing the system to alter the way it is locking?
Cheers
