replacement window glass & car alarm recomendations

Hi all,

Unfortunately my Bongo got broken into whilst I was on holiday in France. To gain access they smashed the drivers door window (the small triangular part) which I now need to get repaired. The insurance company's nominated repairer is quoting up to 8 weeks to get the glass from a Mazda main dealer and I wondered if anyone knows of a faster route to get it?

This event has also moved getting an alarm fitted higher up my priority list! I'll do the normal research but does anyone have any Bongo specific recommendations or considerations? I'm looking for alarm, immobiliser and if poss. a remote linked to the central locking.

Thanks

Geoff.

I can thouroughly reccommend Secureacar for an alarm with all the functions you mention. They have a mobile service available so it doesn't matter where you live. I couldn't fault the guy that fitted ours. The one we have is a Toad Ai606.

Thanks for all the info.

Mine is a 2000 facelift Bongo. Do you think the glass from a 96 model will fit?

Hi Geoff, I don't think that they would have changed the door/quarter light glass on these old bangers, if in doubt check the part numbers in lushprojects.

Good Luck.

Glass size won't be problem, but check the tint (if any) on your current / replacement.
