Exterior temperature sensor

Hello, one thing I miss in my Bongo is an exterior temperature reading. Seems pathetic, I know, but I like it. Anyone found one (and can link to it) that integrates somewhere well and doesn't look like a cheap piece of stuck-on tat?

I picked up one of these at Lidl:

The outdoor sensor has a handy wee screw hole, which opens a multitude of potential place to attach it. Initially I attached it to one of the screws which holds down the black plastic near the windscreen wipers but, as the sensor's also black, I got some wildly high readings in direct sunlight. Now have it at the front under the bonnet, away from direct sunlight but possibly too close to the radiators.

Thinking about getting something a little more sophisticated though - this one doesn't have a backlight and runs of batteries. There are loads on eBay which could be wired into main battery and give a voltage indication too.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for something a little more discreet than that - perhaps something with a small, thin backlit display and a separate, stowable module to keep the visual cabin impact to a minimum. I really don't want to see it gawping at me, and if I do see it, I don't want it look out of place.

I've seen rear view mirrors with an integrated display. Anyone tried any of them? They're not cheap.

I like the idea about the voltage indication though. Maybe on an ignition-switched relay but otherwise wired to the leisure battery :)

This could do a trick.

Hmmm, it does seem slimmer. Obviously the suction mount would go, and it would be hard-wired to the ignition circuit. Wondering where I could place it so it is visible but not sticking out like a sore thumb. Thanks for the responses so far :)

I bought one of those and it's a bit naff. I'm now very happy with one of these, although some of the temperature readings are a little dubious... but I guess you get what you pay for!
