does anyone know if this is happening this year the site in the park itself not the c+c one, and anyone got the number?

Yes that is open to the public now. We stayed there during the long weekend. As a matter of fact it was packed! we even spotted another Bongo and had a quick chat with them.
The camp site is quite massive and toilet facilities are streched (only 2 showers for what I estimate were 200+ sites, toilet blocks were a long walk). But apperantly there is a 5 year development plan to improve this.
The country park and beach do make up for it though, my girls loved it.
