240v 16amp Side Mounted Socket

Post by Titan1995 » Sat Aug 03, 2013 11:03 pm

Hi all,

I have purchased a second hand front drivers side kitchen unit.

In fact it is an Imperial Unit....I believe as fitted to their Solent model.

Can anyone recommend a 240v socket/panel to be fitted somewhere behind the "B" post on the driver's side.

This is the outside mounted panel to connect to 16amp hook up.

Obviously, this has huge aesthetic ramifications if I get it wrong.

Answers on a post card please. [or stuck down envelope]

This is the standard one used on Imperial conversions which you can pickup on eBay for around £16:

Make sure you do a better job of treating the cut edge:

This was the one I fitted in my last van which I put the other side of the internal bracing:

This is the best tool for cutting the hole, but do practice on a scrap bit of metal first as its very easy to get carried away:
