Downloaded the fuse fact sheet from the members pages. Looked for the fuse for the side lights, not mentioned? or is it me!

Must admit I am not having a good week so far!

Not sure if the sidelights have their own fuse, or whether they use the headlights fuse. The later models have some identifiers on the fuse panel which is useful when you don't have factsheet to hand.

might be wrong but have you checked the engine bay fuse-box 4th one down 15A, just looked on the wiring diagrams and front and rear lights look like they feed of that fuse.
I also noticed the fuse marked tail on Simon's post, might be worth trying that first.

Problem is that all other lights work fine? Front main/dipped rear tail/fog, Nothing makes sense no brake lights, front side lights and horn all on diifferent circuits?? No doubt I will find out tomorrow from the leccy bloke!

Good call on the relays mind, nice one!

Do you hear the relay click when you switch on the sidelights? If you get a multimeter to the connections at the rear of the brake light switch, one should be permanent live and the other will be live when the pedal is pressed.

Si thanks for your comments which I appreciate v much but it's all academic now because due to heavy pressure from her in doors to get on with some work around the house, its with the Auto electrician. She who has to be obeyed has spoken!

Funny really I work away for most of the year and when I get home for a holiday (4 weeks block) I have to catch up on the jobs aroond the hoose!

No rest for the wicked! It drives me nuts that my two Bongo's are on the drive staring at me through the longe window willing me to come out to play and I darenot in fear of starting world war 3. I do get tempted tho'

I work harder now for myself than I ever did for anyone else?

Just 3 more years mate and I will be in Bongo heaven - retired! I will post the problem once I get a full SP from the garage.
