Hello folks
i brought my bongo around 9 weeks ago and have already
put 5000 miles on it
my question is about the cooling fans....... they never come on
even in very long hot traffic jams
the temp never changes from its 11-o-clock position no matter
how long i am in stop start traffic
maybe i should just be happy but wanted to find out if this is
the norm
thanks folks

Hi, Mine has never gone past the 11 o'clock position even when towing my caravan in the hot weather, although I have heard the fan run on occasion.. so I think perfectly o.k

I think Bongo would soon tell you in other ways if overheating. I seldom hear my fan whereas I hear the Yaris's all the time.
Cheers mate.

The fans are very quiet on the Bongo. I thought I had the same problem, the guage never went past 11 o'clock position and fans didn't run. Had to lift bonnet after a long run the other day, lo and behold the fans were spinning their little hearts out, just like they should but still very difficult to hear. My other car is a S**B and the fans on that sound like a helicopter. Regards Richard.

Does anybody else find the fan comes on if you stop and then fairly soon after turn the ignition back on again - even if the engine isn't "proper hot"?

They'll come on if the aircon is on Billy
