Bongo Fury

I have had my first problem with my electrics and hoping someone can help.

Went away (didn't have an electric hook up). The lights worked fine but I noticed that the fridge wasn't working. Then noticed that the light on the mains 240v switch wasn't lit up. I checked the fuses and they seem fine but the wire on the one, though not broken, looks wavy (the one on the charger part of the Zig panel). I assumed that, if I had a hook up the sockets wouldn't work also, so when I got home I hooked it up. When I did this everything works fine. I will get a new fuse to replace the one that looks wavy but I'm not sure that this is the problem as if it was I wouldn't have expected it to work when hooked up. Going away in the bongo again on Friday so keen to get this sorted ASAP. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the problem.

Does this look like its not charging?
Could this be something as simple as there not being enough charge in the leisure battery when I went away to have run the fridge (the lights were working though and the low battery light wasn't on to indicate it was low)

The mains light on the ZIg will only be lit up if you are on hook up.

Which sockets are you referring to, the 12v sockets or the 240v sockets (240v only work on hook up)

Quite often (depends on the Zig model I think) the fridge is not wired up through the Zig itself but directly to the leisure battery so it sounds like (as the fridge won't work unless there is sufficient voltage in the battery) the battery wasn't charged for whatever reason.

You need to ensure that the switches are set correctly on the Zig, again this varies on the model. If you haven't got the instructions then it's usually possible to download them. They can be very confusing to get right.
The low battery light tends to stay on until it's nearly flat so it's not really much use TBH.

What sort of fridge is it? If it's a 3 way, they usually only work on 12V when the engine is running. If you have no EHU, it needs to run on gas.

Hi. Tried posting last week but had problems logging in.

Mine is a Zig CF9. I'm in Cornwall now on a hook up so working fine. Just unhooked and will see if the fridge stops working and post again if it doesn't. Will try and download the instructions in the meantime.

You still haven't mentioned the type of fridge - is it a 3 way(12v/240v/gas) or a 12v/240v only? If you know the make and model of fridge, that will also help.
Also, on my CF9 Zig unit, the right hand charger switch has to be in the towing position when you are not on EHU.
