I never knew the scavenger fan had a warning light fitted ... maybe some one as retro fitted one ..??

My fan has come on with the engine running and stationery .. does your temp. gauge move higher up the scale at the same time..??

A post from this morning ..

What engine have you got? There are different warning lights on diesel and petrol models. I don't recall seeing a light for scavenger fan in the manual for any version. Have you got a photo or a description of the light?

Nope there is no such light for the Scavenger Fan on any model in the wiring diagrams! I wonder which light your referring to ?

However... :D When i forgot to plug the scavenger fan sensor back in after doing a project on my diesel.
I found the scavenger fan would keep running constantly & the glow light would blink on & off too! Even when i had turned off the engine the fan stayed on.. It was only when i had plugged it back in/turned the key to the second position then off everything re-set..?

But the guys are right.. No specific warning light for the scavenger fan. Unless it was fitted as a "mod" or a high temperature alarm fitted with a trigger for the fans in the event of an overheat?? :-k

If you could be more specific about your model of Bongo, it's symptom & the type of device with the "warning light"? We would be glad to help!! 8)
