Wondering if anyone could tell me if this leisure battery will fit in the standard tray?

Depth and height are fine, it's the width I'm wondering about.

Have you measured your current tray? The aftermarket ones come in different shapes and sizes. Genuine Mazda ones (as fitted with the winter pack) are the same as the starter battery tray.

@ 9"H x 7" W x 14" long .. my new 110 ah battery is a tight fit .. .. and sits securely on, rather then in, the OEM Northern Spec: battery tray ..

But with some rubber mat in the base of the tray .. and using the OEM battery clamps, it as passed the MOT without any issues ..

Mike - at 14" that's about the same as (or slightly larger than) the one I'm considering. Looking at that other thread, I have exactly the same tray as you so I think I'll risk it. Worst case, I may have to pack up the tray with something.

Thanks!

I also have say that given the weight of man handling the battery into position ... I reckon my battery is at the limit for space ..

With mine I found the hight the main issue in getting it to 'push' into the space under the 'lip' of the wing ..

Actually went for a slightly better one:

I noticed the Xplorer only specified 150 charge cycles, whereas this is rated at 300. Footprint seems similar to yours, but height is a bit less. Fingers crossed...

In a standard Mazda battery tray it'll fit easily. The Numax 113AH @ 325, 172, 220 fits happily in the tray Mazda use for the second battery.
