Evening all,
There must be a few here that have conversions that utilise the driver and passenger front seats to make up the bed. How comfortable/convenient is this set up?
Thanks.

We use this configuration with 2 single airbeds (aerobed pakmat, don't pump up too much) and find it comfortable. They even out the lumps and as long as your hips are on the seat and not mechanism all is fine. Dont forget to fold down the seat belt anchors. The gap behind the engine can be filled with a blowup cushion (or a real one). My feet do touch the steering wheel if streached out but no great problem. The engine lump doesn't prevent a close encounter of the top half. An alternative to the airbed is fill in cushion and memory foam toppers. We are very happy with our arrangement (beds are very quick to pump up and easy to store upstairs. Not as convenient as the permamently up beds in our pennine folding camper or at home but no more difficult than any standard Bongo set up that is made up each night.

Might make the knees tremble, though!

Many thanks for your replies. Not as uncomfortable as it looks then? By the way, never thought of lying that way around with my head in the cab.

Cheers

Carey, thanks for the recommendation
Purchased the u shaped mattress topper last week and had best nights sleep in the bongo so far. Even managed a lie in this morning, after taking 5 yr old daughter to loo at 630am!

That's the only negative point for a super comfy mattress. It folds down into 4 neat bags but is a little large to store/transport. If you like your sleep, Worth it though without a doubt. Cheers, Dave
