I have seen a lot of photos on the forum about the Cat Flap modification to the roof
And have decided that this is definitely the way ahead for me

Try as I might I can’t find a step by step description of how to do it and what materials are needed
Can anyone point me in the right direction if there is such a post?

Or if not could someone that has done it give some feedback on how they did it

And where did you get the Aluminium to reinforce the roof after cutting it?
Did you just use a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade to cut the roof?
How did you fix the rams in their new positions?
Thanks in advance I’m keen to do this before I do a planed big trip to Germany in August so no mad rush just one of the many things I going to do to make life in the Bongo a bit more comfortable

hi, you will only see the original posts on the catflap as this was developed by a company called 321 away together with a good customer of theirs called umbongocat and partner umbongochris. you may search and find the original threads on its making. but as the company are now offering it for sale to bongoers they possibly dont want everyone doing their own.

where are you based, there are a few out there already, someone local may let you see theres or give some pointers.

We still have the pics somewhere and I'll try and post them up tomorrow :)

Although, doing it yourself can be done, 321 Away are not charging a fortune to get it done. I would stick with getting them to do it in case anything goes wrong. You don't want to be doing it and then find you've made a mistake and lost your roof.

I found it here:-

I also found this one :-

Then there is the simpler version that I posted.
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=57294
That should confuse you.
